Sint Odiliënberg, (Limburgic: Berg) is the pearl on the Rur. This village, east of the River Maas and located in the Rur Valley, has around 3,500 residents. The village has a triangular shape, the northern most point of which is located in the River Rur.
Sint Odiliënberg is attractive to lovers of culture and history. Here you can find the Roman basilica of H.H. Wiro, Plechelmus and Otgerus (11th century) with its two towers and the Hoosden Estate. Just next to the basilica you will find De Roerstreek regional museum. The fully restored circular windmill from 1883 is another delightful attraction. Walkers can follow the famous Pieterpad across this culturally historic village.
